As part of a direct placement for an international wind turbine manufacturer, we are looking to fill the position of

Development Engineer for Wind Turbine Generators (m/f/d)
Location: Rostock
Start date: As soon as possible

Your Responsibilities:

• Take charge of the development and optimization of generators for wind turbines with a focus on efficiency, performance, and reliability
• Apply your expertise to perform calculations and simulations to enhance generator performance
• Critically evaluate materials and components to ensure optimal electrical and mechanical properties
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams from electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and control systems to drive innovation
• Support the preparation of technical specifications, documentation, and certifications
• Monitor the development, testing, and validation of prototypes in laboratory and field environments
• Stay up to date with market trends and new technologies to promote innovative solutions

Your Profile:

• You hold a degree in electrical engineering, energy engineering, or a comparable field
• You have initial professional experience in the development of electrical machines, ideally for wind turbines
• You possess solid knowledge in electromagnetic calculations, simulations, and thermal analysis
• You are proficient in relevant simulation and design tools (e.g., ANSYS, Maxwell, MATLAB/Simulink, SolidWorks)
• You impress with your analytical approach and a structured working style
• You enjoy working in a team and driving projects forward collaboratively and with clear goals
• Existing good English skills can be refreshed and/or further developed in practice
