Cultural differences
Sweden and Germany seem very similar, but in many aspects, they are completely different.
We lived near Gothenburg for over 7 years but still commute regularly and learned the differences between the two countries, which must be considered when recruiting new employees.
One example is the application documents. From a German candidate, you usually get several certificates for the CV and the application letter.
Application documents contain almost no details about the personal circumstances, interests, etc. of the candidate and references are available on request.
Candidates usually wear a suit and tie when they are interviewed for a job – But this has become much less common in recent years.
In communication, Germans are much more direct than Swedes.
Company decisions are usually implemented hierarchically, the manager mostly decides himself what needs to be changed.
These are just a couple of short examples, which describe some of the differences.
We see our mission not only to find the right staff but also to build interpersonal and cultural bridges, so that people fit together.
We primarily fill vacancies in sales and management positions.
Often the regional responsibility is the DACH area (Germany, Austria and Switzerland).

About Germany
We are aware that a business in Germany combined with a move often affects not just one person but an entire family.
We are happy to try to answer all family members' questions about Germany. Very often we are asked what language skills are required: speaking German is a prerequisite.
