Development Engineer for Generators - Wind Power (m/f/d)

Location: Rostock Germany

About the role:

Develop and optimize generators for wind turbines with a focus on efficiency, performance and reliability
Use your expertise to perform calculations and simulations to improve the performance of generators
Critically evaluate materials and components to ensure optimal electrical and mechanical properties
Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams from electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and control engineering to drive innovation
Support the creation of technical specifications, documentation and approvals
Oversee the development, testing, and validation of prototypes in laboratory and field environments
Stay informed about market trends and new technologies to promote innovative solutions

Your profile:

You have a degree in electrical engineering, energy engineering or a related field
You have initial professional experience in the development of electrical machines, preferably for wind turbines
You have good knowledge of electromagnetic calculations, simulations and thermal analysis
You are skilled in using relevant simulation and design tools
(e.g. ANSYS, Maxwell, MATLAB/ Simulink, SolidWorks)
You impress with your analytical approach and a structured working method in implementation
You enjoy working in a team and driving projects forward in a goal-oriented and collaborative manner

You can update and/or expand your existing good English skills in practice.
